The Phase 2 roadmap

Phase 1 is the foundation. Phase 2 expands the surface for users who want more than a single VPS deployment.

Custom domains

Bring your own domain. Either:

The daemon already accepts arbitrary host headers — only the registry UX is gated.

Cross-device session sync

A small cloud relay (relay.sudoterm.com) lets you attach to your VPS sessions from a device that can't reach it directly. End-to-end encrypted with a key only your devices know.

OSC 133 + richer block detection

Modern shells can emit semantic prompt escapes (OSC 133) so we know exactly where commands begin and end. We'll keep the regex fallback for shells without it, but blocks get crisper boundaries + exit codes when the shell cooperates.

Editable cheat sheet

The current 100+ entry sheet is great as a starter pack. Phase 2 adds user-defined snippets editable from the UI, with optional shared/team scopes.

Team workspaces (Phase 3 preview)

Multi-user, RBAC, audit logs. Each user has their own sessions but admins can provision daemon instances per team. SSO + SAML for orgs that need it.

Cloud-hosted plan (optional)

For people who don't want to run a VPS. We host the daemon, you connect from any device. The self-hosted tier stays free forever; the cloud tier funds the ongoing project.

Timing

Phase 1 is in beta now. Phase 2 work starts as soon as Phase 1 stabilizes — realistically Q4 2026.
